We want you to have a pleasurable experience at Herbert’s Lane, relaxing under the stars and enjoying the company of friends and family. For your safety it is essential to understand and adhere to the advice and guidelines given below for proper use of our hot tub.

Any damage to the hot tub itself, the cover, the cover lifting arm or the handles will be charged for. In addition, any cleaning or maintenance needed due to misuse will incur a charge.

We want you to have a lovely experience, but please treat the hot tub as if it were your own as maintenance is expensive. We would much rather you asked if you’re at all unsure, so please don’t hesitate to message or call us on 07828 28 00 37.

Be mindful that as wonderful as the hot tub is, it can be a dangerous environment, so please use your common sense. A great tip is to stay hydrated – so get out every fifteen minutes for a cup of cold water.

Operation

The hot tub is always on. Please DO NOT switch it off at the mains.

1. Undo the four clips and then lift the cover from left to right. The crease in the middle means the cover folds in half. Once in half, fold the cover over in order to tuck it between the hot tub and the fence.
   • DO NOT use the hot tub with the cover half on.
   • DO NOT sit on the cover.
   • Please do put the cover back on when the hot tub is not in use – this’ll keep it warm for when you next get in.
   • Please do not use glass in the hot tub – we provide plastic cups in the hut
2. Refer to the control panel to adjust the jets, the temperature and the lights.
   • The temperature should be no more than 40 degrees.
   • Test the water with your hand before entering to make sure it is a comfortable temperature. Take your time getting in. Do not jump in.
   • It’s important that you take regular breaks from the water – we recommend every fifteen minutes.
   • Stay hydrated.

Connecting your music

Our hot tub is bluetooth enabled which means you can play music from your devices. There is a control panel for this on the side panel of the hot tub.

Your Use of the Hot Tub

• Herbert’s Lane take no responsibility for any accident, injury or health issue resulting from the use of the hot tub.
• The hot tub must never be switched off at the mains.
  • There may be an extra charge if the tub is switched off during your stay – even if you are not using it.
• Hot tub cleanliness is paramount. Guests must shower and use the toilet before entering the hot tub.
  • For your own safety it is essential that the water is kept clean as failure to do so can result in the water balance changing.
• If upon inspection the hot tub is found to be dirty due to misuse, it may be necessary to for us to switch it off, empty, clean and refill it.
  • If the hot tub needs to be shut down, cleaned and refilled this may incur you a cost of £100.
  • Please note that fake tan will stain the hot tub, this will result in it having to be shut down, emptied and refilled.
  • Do not use any soaps or detergents of any type in the hot tub, this will result in it having to be shut down, emptied and refilled.
• Please exercise caution when consuming alcohol or taking medication before or during your use of the hot tub.
• People on medication should always consult their doctor before using the hot tub.
• People with infectious diseases should not use the hot tub.
• People who are pregnant, clinically obese, have heart conditions, blood pressure or circulatory problems, skin conditions or diabetes should always consult their doctor before using the tub.
• Do not use the tub immediately after strenuous exercise.
• Do not allow any pets in the hot tub.
• Do not let anyone sleep in the hot tub.
• Keep all loose articles of clothing and jewellery away from the rotating jets.
• Do not drink the water.
• Be aware that surfaces in and around the hot tub may be slippery with water or ice.

Risk to Children

• Please exercise extreme caution when children are present at Herbert’s Lane.
• No children under 5 years are permitted in the tub.
• All children under 16 must be supervised at all times.
